TRIVIA QUESTION RESULTS
Thanks to everyone who participated in our June 1995 trivia
contest (Q: What big health news about meat was recently discovered
by scientists?).
Only those respondents who directly answered the questioned
were eligible. Though high in protein, eggs, cheese and nuts
are not meat and were therefore deemed inappropriate subject
matter. However, much as the line between animals and vegetables
is a fine one, the line separating meat and non-meat is at
times difficult to distinguish. Therefore, answers centering
on meat-like foods were acceptible so long as the look, consistency
and flavor of these foods would be recognizable to the average
meat-eater.
Overall, entries were pretty lame. Since there are no right
answers and several wrong ones, we had a difficult time choosing
a winner. In fact, after spending too much time on this project,
we concluded there was no one Winner, but that every participant
was a winner of sorts. Nevertheless, a copy of The Zip
Code Rapists Sing and Play the Matador Records Catalog
is on its way to Herb Jue (mathhj%ccnyvme.bitnet@ cunyvm.cuny.edu).
Though neither clever or insightful, Herb kept his answer
short. It was, as follows:
Meat has been shown to be a good source of protein.
Selected losing respones.
