i do remember that on my first day of intermediate school in sept. ’83, i wore a bright yellow adam ant-esque dress shirt and studded belt purchased from the unique boutique in the village. try wearing that outfit in staten island today, nevermind in 1983. i definitely thought i was “punk,” but the locals used another word to describe the look. by 11, i was devasted and disillusioned with the scene…

now, the late 80′s are entirely different story, which i won’t be revisiting any time soon.
