Random single from the collection 3

Ahh… Even As We Speak. Hand-fingerpainted sleeve, I haven’t listened to it in years, and can’t listen to it now (neighbors are nightmares). Australian or GB? Who knows. Weird association with Scapa Flow in mind. In any event, there it is. What is useful about this series is showing up the incredible banality of any collection, even ones the owner proudly thinks of as “edited.”

I’ve said it before– it’s easy to own a lot of really great records that everyone knew enough to go out and buy, but it’s the marginal records hardly anyone bought that give a collection its character.
Unfortunately, those are usually the ones I gave away or tried to trade in.

Hi – it’s great to see this single again. I still remember us all sitting around painting these in 1986. It was the first recording I’d ever done and I can’t tell you how excited I was.
there were only 500 ever made! Though Egg records has released the first 17 EAWS songs on a comp called ‘a 3 minute pop song is one minute too long’. We are from Australia – and I am doing a gig in London on July 24, playing EAWS songs, at Jamm in brixton
FYI – I have posted 2 never before seen filmclips to two songs off this record on youtube
