Pavement – Central Park Sold Out, 2nd Show Just Added

The September 21, 2010 show at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield sold out in about two minutes (hey, beat that, Miley Cyrus). However, a second show will take place on September 22, 2010 and tickets are now on sale.

Embarrassing. Malkmus has put out four very good-to-great solo lps (thank you Matador), the other guy TRIED (and you did too), the Dust Devils bass player joined the Rolling Stones…
It’s a sad testament to the aural imagination of old and young people that this is given any credence except either 1) Steve is working on the kids college fund or 2) doing a favor to the other dudes, who– let’s face it– could use on as far as show business is concerned.
Especially since Matador works with the ONLY band to do a reunion worth a shit (thank you Mission of Burma)… Really looking forward to Pavement + Pixies + Soul Asylum + Porno For Pyros + oooh–
