….which doesn’t make it any less fantastic. Thinking Fellers Union Local 282′s “2X4′s” from 1991′s ‘Lovelyville’, directed by N. Markowski. Not seen on “120 Minutes”, but if we said otherwise, someone might believe it.

Have ye heard this? I don’t know how Ted Leo consistently writes such solid songs, not to mention how he gets through a song like this on stage without passing out. Not a lot of room for breaths in this one! The entire new album is terrific. I am told that it is out today as a single, with a demo version as the B-side:

Incidentally, he also turned in what is far and away the best remix of a Spoon song ever. I still haven’t seen him since then so if you do, please pass along my appreciation.
