Iceage NYC 1/25 – 26/13: A Short Film by Cali Thornhill Dewitt

By Robby on Thursday, March 7th, 2013

You’ll remember earlier this year Iceage visited New York to play two shows and help present the ‘Thrown Together‘ gallery event, an art exhibition featuring some artworks from their friends local and global. Los Angeles-based artist/photographer/director/label boss Cali Thornhill Dewitt came along for the ride and produced a striking short film tracking the band’s activities that weekend in the city & shots of the visuals on display, set to live audio of “Morals” from ‘You’re Nothing‘  – you can watch this below or at Pitchfork.TV today.

Iceage are on tour right now and will be in the states at the end of the month. Pick up ‘You’re Nothing‘ at the Matador store or your favorite music retailler.

Iceage ‘You’re Nothing’ is out today

By Robby on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013

… and just like that, Iceage’s sophomore album, ‘You’re Nothing’ is available worldwide  in all modern-day conceptions of music retailler (Matador store, Insound, Amazon, iTunes & of course your local indie).   The New York Times have dropped some praise on the album’s “coiled contraptions, unruly by design” whereas Pitchfork, awarding their ‘Best New Music’ tag note Iceage coming off “even younger, wilder, and more chaotic than on their 2011 debut, but also more experienced and nuanced” & SPIN chimes in: “smarter, faster, catchier and noisier than their debut“”.

Grab a sneak peak of the album over at AbsolutePunk, where they’re streaming the album for a week.

Then, see Iceage on tour.  Oh yeah & buy the record, you’ll love it.

By Adam B on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013

When we initially announced the release of the new Iceage album You’re Nothing we mentioned that pre-orders would include a band designed poster in addition to being 15% off.  Taking a good idea and making it great, instead of a band designed poster we are now offering a up a band designed flag, and for you poster aficionados we will still be throwing in a regular poster to boot.

The flag which measures 12×8″ and includes a heading and grommets can be seen below.

Fans should also be sure to check out Iceage’s blog on Thursday morning as well as back here for another special announcement pertaining to the band.
