In addition, we present the second video from The New Pornographers' 'Electric Version' album: entitled "All For Swinging You Around", it is directed by keyboardist Blaine Thurier, and it's a tour-de-force. November 6: Subscription page back; news update
After nearly a year of downtime, the Matador subscription page is back. Subscribe or unsubscribe yourself to and from the monthly news update, the tour dates mailings, the release schedule mailings and the various artist lists. Also, a new news update was posted (and mailed) yesterday; today it has been slightly expanded with bits on Yo La Tengo and the subscription page announcement. Also, a new tour update.

November 3: Store list expanded
The list of Matador-Friendly Stores has been greatly expanded. Not only can you find most Matador releases at these excellent shops, but they're also great for music shopping in general, not to mention advice, ephemera and just hanging out. Organized by STATE and then CITY for your geographical convenience, with CANADA at the end. (For reasons of sanity, the Matador-Friendly Store list is currently restricted to North America. However, we plan to include the other continents soon.)

October 28: New Pornos MP3, vote for Interpol video
The first MP3 from the remastered (and mid-priced) US version of 'Mass Romantic' has been posted. It's the title track. Download it from the New Pornographers page. Also, go to the Interpol page and follow the link to vote for the 'NYC' video on MTV. Finally, the tours page has been updated with new dates from Arab Strap (in the US) and Seachange (in the UK).

October 23: First Seachange MP3; B&S DVD
Matador is pleased to announce that we will be releasing the Belle & Sebastian DVD 'Fans Only' in North America in Winter 2003. Full details on the B&S page.

If you're reading this, then matadorrecords.com has successfully made its migration to its new host, State 51. At the same time, the new News Update has been uploaded, with info on and from Pretty Girls Make Graves, Interpol, Guided By Voices, Cat Power, The Wisdom of Harry, Robyn Hitchcock, Yo La Tengo and many more. Finally, the fourth and final MP3 in the Dead Meadow Unreleased MP3 Series has been posted (only 8 days late, due to the migration!).

September 5: GBV Box Set Project announced
At last, the details on the Guided By Voices 'Hardcore UFOs' 5 CD + DVD box set have been announced. Included in the set, and also available separately, are a CD of 'The Best of Guided by Voices' chosen and sequenced by Robert Pollard and to be available at a special low price, and the greatly expanded DVD release of Banks Tarver's documentary film 'Watch Me Jumpstart'. August 25: Seachange section, more M. Ward and Lesser, Tour Update
A Seachange section has been launched. Not much there yet, but there will be lots more shortly.      

The new M. Ward page now features an MP3 from his latest album, 'Transfiguration of Vincent', the song entitled 'Vincent O'Brien'. Also there are new photos and links. The Lesser page has been updated to reflect his upcoming album, 'Suppressive Acts I-X'.
