Paul Banks Live on KEXP from CMJ

Today, at 4:30pm EST / 1:30pm PST, KEXP presents a live on-air performance with Paul Banks from the CMJ Music Festival.

If you're here in NYC, you can attend this performance live from the Union Square Ballroom (27 Union Square West).
This event is 18+ and capacity is limited, so get there early!  RSVP required.

You can also listen in Seattle at 90.3 FM, or stream the session worldwide at KEXP.ORG

Paul will be playing some jams off of his forthcoming LP, Banks, which you can coincidentally listen to in its entirety right now on YouTube.

But the Banks doesn't stop there.
Tomorrow you can catch Paul live from the House of Vans for Judgement Night at CMJ.

In addition to the awesome Glasser action this week at CMJ and beyond (see below), we're thrilled to unveil the new video for "Mirrorage" today (via Pitchfork), directed by the great Carlos Charlie Perez:





SURPRISE!!! Those of you who have are anxiously assembling your bzzz band schedules are going to have switch some things around. Due to some creative juking and last second changes Glasser WILL BE performing a few times over CMJ. Needless to say, we're thrilled by this twist of fate, see you at the shows!!

God knows there's a bunch of fun stuff going on during the annual College Music Journal Music Marathon, but we want to make sure everyone's aware that we, along with the other Beggars Group labels -- True Panther, 4AD, Rough Trade, XL and Young Turks -- AND our buddies at Sub Pop, are going to be throwing a bit of a rager this Thursday, October 21, from 10pm to 4am. All the info is above on the flyer, and below for those of you on dial-up connections.

Cold Cave 'Death Comes Close' 12", ultra-limited edition details AND CMJ appearances

In addition to the previously announced and already-limited one-time pressing of Cold Cave's new 12" entitled 'Death Comes Close', in collaboration with Dominick Fernow of Cold Cave/Hospital Productions, Matador is set to release a different extra-limited edition of the 12"

This special version features exclusive artwork by Fernow is hand-assembled, stamped and editioned. Limited to one-hundred (100) copies, these records will make it into select stores and we'll have it available for purchase at the Matador Store on Tuesday October 20 at 3:00 PM EST - They're bound to go fast so mark your calendars and set your alarms.

The kid-tested, Big Bear-approved Beggars Group CMJ Party (not to be confused with the Matador/True Panther jam happening the following night) goes down Thursday, October 22 at Bowery Electric (327 Bowery) from 11pm to the wee hours of the morning, and will feature, among other things, a DJ set by the one and only Gerard Cosloy. RSVP does NOT guarantee entry so please, for the love of God, get there early so we can rage together.
