Intended Play 2012 - For The Vinyl-Phobic Amongst, The Price Just Dropped From $2 To Free

(I really don't see the resemblance)

Back in early January WE SHOCKED THE MUSIC WORLD with news of a $1.98 Matador/True Panther Sounds sampler LP including (mostly) new songs from The Young, Ceremony, Lee Ranaldo Tanlines, Perfume Genius, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Fucked Up, Girls, Cold Cave, Esben and The Witch and Kurt Vile. It's come to our attention that a) there's a few stragglers out there who've yet to order this limited edition LP, and b) some of you either trashed your record players or simply prefer music in digital form.

So here's the deal --- you can still order the vinyl version from The Matador Store or hound your local retailer who might've filed it in THE $2 BIN.  Failing that, here's a free download of the entire compilation. You're welcome!

Indeed, NYC synth magicians Cold Cave will help Los Angelinos get through that rough period between most recent coffee to delicious lunchtime with a 30-minute set today on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic. Tune in at 11:15AM PDT/2:15PM EDT (perhaps it will help us right-coasters with our digestion) to hear Wes Eisold and his band of keyboard warriors unleash tunes from the awesome new Cherish The Light Years under the watchful gaze and alongside the thoughtful questioning of Jason Bentley. As you're probably well aware, KCRW can be heard at 89.9FM or can be streamed online. Cold Cave also rocks it, nighttime-stylee, tonight at The Music Box at The Henry Fonda. The show is sold out, but perhaps you know a guy who knows a guy.

Coachella stage times announced/Bands on the road - Interpol announce special Coachella set details

As announced on the official Coachella page, stage times are out now for all bands playing this weekends festival and you'll find Matador and True Panther bands well represented, without any clashes (...hopefully) too!

Additionally, Interpol have announced exciting details about their Coachella performance in collaboration with The Creators Project, David Lynch, Andi Watson, HPX and Wieden & Kennedy:

Interpol Under Surveillance

Surrounded as we are by an ever-increasing number of cameras in our daily lives, we begin to lose ownership of our own images. Anonymous technology is analyzing, categorizing and archiving our very existence.

Interpol, in collaboration with David Lynch, Andi Watson, HPX and Wieden & Kennedy present a visual juxtaposition of the seen and the unseen. As the observer becomes the observed, the performance explores the deepening layers of covert surveillance, morphing data acquisition into visual beauty and questioning the fine line between the viewer and the voyeur.

Featuring the premiere of the David Lynch animation "I Touch A Red Button Man" for the song "Lights", and utilizing real-time visual manipulation from Seattle-based HPX, the performance will be streamed live to the internet as well as to the audience at Coachella.

From here Interpol continue their tour around the southern states with School Of Seven Bells, The New Pornographers head out with the Walkmen in tow, Cold Cave join the Kills on the road, Glasser will be supporting TV On The Radio, whilst Delorean bring their broken Spanglish charm to headline shows in Chicago and Brooklyn.

The Coachella stages and times for all our acts are below, enjoy!

Friday
Cold Cave – 3pm @ Mohave Stage
Interpol – 7:25pm @ Coachella Stage

Saturday
Glasser – 5:15pm @ Gobi Tent
The New Pornographers –  6:35pm @ Outdoor Theatre

Sunday
Delorean – Sun, 4/17, 2pm or 3pm @ Gobi Tent
